Hi I am Sara Masoud, I am a Palestinian-American researcher and organizer living in San Antonio, TX. I was born in El Paso and lived part of my childhood in the United Arab Emirates. My family moved back to El Paso, TX in 2000. I had the honor of caregiving for my grandfather who had Alzheimer’s disease for many years. The experience changed the way I understood health justice, disability, and our relationships with elders. I’ve since dedicated myself to studying how to make healthcare more accessible and equitable for all people. My passion is to use science to create knowledge that helps communities advocate for better care and more a more just world.

I mostly speak English but I am currently learning how to speak Arabic.
