For the second time, we have successfully engaged our group of Arab American community in conversations about dementia, research, and advocacy, the program included icebreaker activity, poetry, food and interactive yet very interesting breakout group discussions with a chance to express their ideas & opinions with everyone.

San Antonio, TX ; The Janna Lesser Community Engagement Hero Award for Outstanding Community Health Improvement Project award ( November 2025) during 2025 IIMS Community Engagement Symposium

The Community Council for Arab Dementia Research was selected as the 2025 recipient of the Janna Lesser Community Engagement Hero Award for Outstanding Community Health Improvement Project. This award recognizes community partners for their successes in promoting health through research. The Council partners with Dr. Sara Masoud and her team to improve representation of Arab Americans in dementia research.
