Hi, my name is Ed. After I retired, I wanted to use my time to serve others. With the support of my church and Bishop, we have made it our mission to help the African American community that is impacted by dementia. I try to help wherever I can. and I also volunteer with a transportation program that helps get people living with dementia safely to and from places like doctor’s appointments. It is a simple thing, but for a caregiver who is already stretched thin, having one less thing to worry about can mean a lot. I have been a caregiver myself, and I understand how much even a small act of help can help. I am excited to help in any way that I can to support this community.
